So... our little man is on the mend, most of the meds he was on have been stopped. Everett coughed and pulled out his breathing tube 4 hrs before the docs were going to do it. Then they put a c-pap on him which is a mask held in place by a bunch of head gear and straps, he didnt like that either and pulled it off twice. So now he is just on high flow nasal canulas with 35% O2, and his stats and blood gasses are holding steady. Now we will try and slowly turn down air flow, and O2% to 21% which is what is in the normal air.
You're doing a good job on here. I love it. I don't know if Mom told you, but we are going to try and come down probably next Thursday and Friday depending on what we find out today.
Pass on my kisses to the little guy. I hope you can continue to take some pics of you all and get them posted. We are continuing to pray for you all. Sending all my love...Auntie Carrie
Good Morning... This is Kora. Baby Everett is pretty sleepy today after the cathederization yesterday. They unexpectedly found that the pressures in his heart were quite high. He will be going on a new medication today or tomorrow depending on if they can find a bed for him in the moderate care unit. The medication name I cannot recall at the moment, I will get it posted soon, patients taking this med need consistant blood pressure checks, because it eases heart and lung ventricular pressure. All and all he is doing pretty good. His little heart is working much harder than it "should" which explains why he is so slim. Chris and I are hangning in there! Hopefully that wasnt to much info. Think happy thoughts!

Our little world has changed, like i never thought possible. Things that seemed so important just a short time ago, now are seen for what they are, "small stuff"
Helpin' Everette to be a big boy. too all of u who have never experienced something like this no matter what they tell u (nurses & doctors) what u r about 2 c it cannot prepare u 4 what is real. our lil man is jumping over every hurdle that has been put in front of him. when u go into c him he 4 the 1st time looks like a lil pork as audree would say, but in time that will all go away. he as been a real trooper & is keeping all the nurses on there toes & of course he is by far the most attractive one in the pod. 2 all of u that r praying & thinking of everret chris & kora keep it up 4 it is helping them thru this major ordeal in there life & thanks 2 all of u 4 that. give everret a cheer: go everret go keep them nurses on there toes. god bless 2 u all.
